Different winners at the end of the season- Diferentes ganadores al final de la temporada
Here the first place is won by 1982 season. This tragic year saw eleven drivers climbing up the top of the rostrum. They were Alain Prost, Rene Arnoux, Didier Pironi, Patrick Tambay, Elio De Angelis, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Riccardo Patrese, Michele Alboreto, Niki Lauda & John Watson. They defended six different makes (Renault, Ferrari, Lotus, Williams, Brabham, Tyrrell and McLaren)
The second position goes to the 2012 season. That year and over a 20-race season, there were eight different winners. They were Kimi Raikkonen, Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Fernando Alonso & Pastor Maldonado driving for Lotus, Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari & Williams
The third position is shared between 1974, 1981 and 2003 with seven different winners. But the 1974 season was raced on 14 events while 1981 had 15 (and one race was considered out of the championship), so I am taking this race difference of one in favour of 1974.
The winners in 1974 were Dennis Hulme, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, Clay Regazzoni, Carlos Reutemann, Jody Scheckter and Ronnie Peterson. They drove for McLaren, Ferrari, Brabham, Tyrrell and Lotus.
In 1981, the names that got the nine points were Nelson Piquet, Carlos Reutemann, Alan Jones, Gilles Villeneuve, Alain Prost, Jacques Laffite & John Watson at the wheel of Renault, Ferrari, Ligier, Williams, Brabham and McLaren).
The 2003 season saw Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Kimi Raikkonen, David Coulthard, Juan Pablo Montoya, Ralf Schumacher & Fernando Alonso as the race winners. They drove Ferrari, McLaren, Williams and Renault).
The greatest difference and the reason to give the third place point to 1974 is that there was one race less than in 1981 and two than in 2003.
