CARSaLaCarta at 2025 AutoSport International/ CARSaLaCarta en la AutoSport International 2025
2025 AutoSport Iinternational, one of the most prestigious and largest motorsport show, has just finished this year. A show whose core has been the 75th F1 anniversary. This special year turned to be amazing to skip.
Its importance came overseas, to the city of mar del Plata and, proudly to say, for the third year in a row, @CARSaLaCarta has been allowed to accredit its representative, Mr. Paul Jeffrey (CARSaLaCarta deeply appreciates ASI director James Bailey for easing Mr. Jeffrey’s accreditation).
This meant that on the same day, @CARSaLaCarta and the radio station that houses it, @LaRed 91.3 MdP, could cover three different racing car events on three continents, North America, South America and Europe. A feat that very few media in Argentina could ever achieve.
Within the premises, the ASI offered 2 halls. In one of them, a number of F1 cars covering the seven and a half decades of the series could be seen and appreciate. There, in a sort of timeless starting grid, it was a Maserati 250F #32 and to its right a Lancia Ferrari D50 #17. Behind them, a rich lot of F1 cars that flooded our imaginations and they battled on the tracks driven by real modern gladiators. The utmost important moment of the show turned to be when Ollie Bearman, 2025 Haas F1 driver, was the main protagonist of an interview. But it was not only him who sat on the interviewee’s stool. Ther were other prestigious names such as Bob Costanduras, a veteran presenter who went through each of the 21 cars on the grid; Jenny Gow, a BBC presenter who had a major stroke 2 years ago and former McLaren mechanic turned presenter, Marc Priestley, who spoke about the importance of 2024 McLaren team’s championship as well as the 2007 epic battle between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, Now a little gossip, Marc told Paul that even Lewis is the driver who impresses him most, but Kimi was the most fun.

The weirdest aspect of the ASI show was when the engineering Hall had largely gone, replaced by food and drink areas, so the Ligier and Hesketh (they were restored by MJTech) Paul saw and photographed on Thursday had gone. A pity after witnessing a fine restoration job.
Now a huge question hovers on the ASI is to know what central topic the 2026 ASI will be focussed on. A question which be answered in its due time.

AutoSport Internacional 2025, uno de los shows de deportes automovilísticos más prestigiosos y grandes, acaba de terminar este año. Un espectáculo cuyo núcleo ha sido el 75º aniversario de la Fórmula 1. Este año especial resultó ser increíble para perdérselo.
Su importancia traspasó fronteras, llegando a la ciudad de Mar del Plata y, con orgullo se puede decir, por tercer año consecutivo, @CARSaLaCarta ha podido acreditar a su representante, el Sr. Paul Jeffrey (CARSaLaCarta agradece profundamente al director del ASI, James Bailey, por facilitar la acreditación del Sr. Jeffrey).
Esto significó que, en un mismo día, @CARSaLaCarta y la estación de radio donde se ubica, @LaRed 91.3 MdP, pudieron cubrir tres eventos diferentes de carreras de autos en tres continentes, América del Norte, América del Sur y Europa. Un logro que muy pocos medios en Argentina han podido alcanzar.
Dentro de las instalaciones, el ASI ofreció 2 salones. En uno de ellos, se podía ver y apreciar una serie de autos de F1 que abarcan las siete décadas y media de la serie. Allí, en una especie de parrilla de salida atemporal, se encontraba un Maserati 250F #32 y a su derecha un Lancia Ferrari D50 #17. Detrás de ellos, una gran cantidad de autos de F1 que inundaron nuestra imaginación y que lucharon en las pistas conducidos por verdaderos gladiadores modernos. Aunque no se pudo confirmar, se cree que el Lancia-Ferrari D50 podría haber sido una réplica.
El momento más importante del espectáculo resultó ser cuando Ollie Bearman, piloto de Haas F1 en 2025, fue el protagonista principal de una entrevista. Pero no solo él se sentó en el banquillo de los entrevistados. Hubo otros nombres prestigiosos como Bob Costanduras, un veterano presentador que recorrió cada uno de los 21 autos en la parrilla; Jenny Gow, presentadora de la BBC que sufrió un derrame cerebral hace 2 años; y el ex mecánico de McLaren convertido en presentador, Marc Priestley, que habló sobre la importancia del campeonato del equipo McLaren en 2024 y la épica batalla de 2007 entre Lewis Hamilton y Fernando Alonso. Ahora un poco de gossip: Marc le dijo a Paul que, aunque Lewis es el piloto que más le impresiona, Kimi es con quien más se divirtió.

El aspecto más extraño del show del ASI fue cuando el pabellón de ingeniería había desaparecido en gran parte, reemplazado por áreas de comida y bebida, por lo que el Ligier y Hesketh (restaurados por MJTech) que Paul vio y fotografió el jueves ya habían desaparecido. Una lástima después de presenciar un excelente trabajo de restauración.
Ahora, una gran pregunta que pesa sobre el ASI es saber cuál será el tema central del ASI 2026. Una pregunta que se responderá a su debido tiempo.
